COOLPULSE ™ is an ECM technology, following the principles of dissolving magnesium. The part is the anode and the tool is the cathode. There is an opening between the anode and the cathode that will be filled with electrolyte. • COOLPULSE ™ uses a higher current density that focuses on burrs, peaks and edges when compared to flat surfaces. The result is a greater removal of material in these areas, resulting in a smoother surface. The material removed (hydroxides) during the process it must be filtered out of the electrolyte to maintain its quality.
